Bob Seger and Kid Rock to share the stage at the Xcel Energy Center

Kid Rock and Bob Seger are both hitting the road this spring, and on two overlapping dates, they will share the stage for two shows. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and Kid Rock and the Twisted Brown Trucker Band will both take the stage at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on March 15, 2013.  On the following night, March 16, 2013, they will make a joint appearance in Fargo, North Dakota.

Two top rock bands sharing the stage at the Xcel Energy Center – this will make for a very special concert!

The March 15th Xcel Energy Center performance in St. Paul, Minnesota will begin at 8:00 p.m.  This will be Bob Seger’s third visit to the Xcel, and Kid Rock’s second time to visit.

According to Rolling Stone, Seger and Rock have been friends since 2000, with the latter inducting the former into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. The two Michigan natives have also guested on each other’s albums: they recorded a duet of Vince Gill’s “Real Mean Bottle” for Seger’s 2006 Face the Promise, and Seger played piano on “Collide,” Rock’s duet with Sheryl Crow on 2010′s Born Free.

Singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist Robert Clark “Bob” Seger is from Lincoln Park, Michigan.  He is recognized for such genres as rock, heartland rock, roots rock, pop rock, piano rock, country rock and southern rock.

Seger has recorded many hits, including “Night Moves”, “Turn the Page”, “We’ve Got Tonight”, “Against the Wind” and “Shakedown” that was written for Beverly Hills Cop II and “Like a Rock”, and also co-wrote the Eagles’ number-one hit “Heartache Tonight”. His iconic recording of “Old Time Rock and Roll” was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001.

Some background on Kid Rock 

Robert James “Bob” Ritchie, known by his stage name Kid Rock, is an American musician, rapper, and singer-songwriter who was born in Romeo, Michigan.  He is a five time Grammy Award nominee and has sold 23 million albums in the U.S. and 27 million worldwide.

Kid Rock’s music spans such genres as rock, country, rap rock, rap metal, heavy metal, hard rock, southern rock and early hip hop.  He released his entire catalog to iTunes in January of 2013.

An early innovator, Kid Rock has written and recorded many classics of his own, including “Bawitdaba,” “Cowboy,” “Only God Knows Why,” “Picture” (duet with Sheryl Crow), “All Summer Long,” “So Hott,” “Born Free,” “Forever,” “American Bad Ass” and from his new album “Rebel Soul.”
