Minneapolis parks: events and activities for March, 2013

A Minneapolis Parks schedule highlighting spring-like events for the month of March, 2013 will help usher in some warmer temperature fun.  Currently planned for the Minneapolis parks are one event for St. Patrick’s Day, and five events that are oriented toward Easter.

It will begin to feel like spring when these March, 2013 events take place at Minneapolis parks.

Information about events and activities at Minneapolis parks can be found at www.minneapolisparks.org, and also by clicking here. The event calendar is updated throughout the month, so check back occasionally to see if anything new has been added.

Here are the events and activities that are currently listed for March, 2013:

March 16 Wearing of the Green, 2–4pm, Windom South. Games, food and prize for best Irish costume. For adults with disabilities. $5.

March 30 Egg Hunt and Bunny Party, 10am–noon, Windom NE. Adult egg toss contest, children’s egg hunt, treat bags for the first 200 children ages 2-12. All ages. Free.

March 30 Spring Fling, 10–11:30am, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Egg hunt with prizes, cookie decorating, basket making, entertainment, petting zoo and light refreshments while supplies last. All ages. $2/person.

March 30 Annual Spring Egg Hunt, 10–11:30am, Kenwood. Egg hunts for three age levels (2-3, 4-5 and 6-8), a visit from Peter Rabbit, face painting, crafts, coffee and donuts. Free.

March 30 Spring Egg Hunt, 10–11:30am, Whittier. Egg hunt, face painting, and a chance to take photos with the bunny. Free. Please pre-register.

March 30 Spring Fling Egg Hunt, 10:30am–noon, Linden Hills. Egg hunt, brunch, puppet show, art projects, treats. $7/child. Please pre-register (family members of egg hunters do not need to pre-register). Space is limited.
