MN Landscape Arboretum special events for April, 2012

Orchids are featured in events this month at the Arboretum.

It will be busy as usual at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum during the month of April, 2012.

A notation on their website informs visitors that Three-Mile Drive will be open to vehicles Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1 in order that visitors can enjoy the landscape and collections.  It will be closed again Monday for several days until routine grounds maintenance work can be completed. Check back on the website for updates!

Easter Bunny visits and photos at Twin Cities’ Malls

The Easter Bunny will have to be super speedy to make so many visits!

Excited children in the Twin Cities area will be lining up soon at various malls for a one-on-one visit with the Easter Bunny and a photo op directed toward the parents.  Parents will be able to capture the memory by purchasing a special souvenir photo just as they like to do at Christmas time when their children pay a visit to Santa.

Six area malls have information available on their websites as to dates and times that the Easter Bunny will be on site.  Carrot breaks are also factored in, of course!

What a timely Grand Opening event!

Some spaces are still available for the free breakfast with the Peeps® Chick and Easter Bunny at Mall of America in Bloomington, MN on Saturday, March 17, 2012.  On March 17th, Peeps & Company® will host a Grand Opening event to celebrate the opening of its Mall of America store and the arrival of Easter.

The celebration will be on March 17, 2012 from 8:30am – 10:30am CT in the Great Room at Mall of America, which is conveniently located next door to the Peeps & Company® store in the Southwest corner of Nickelodeon Universe®.

Coming to the Arboretum – maple syrup brunches and tours plus the Easter Bunny!

Maple syruping only occurs in the spring – on March 24 and 25, 2012 you can enjoy a delicious pancake brunch with Arboretum-made maple syrup at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska.  When you are done dining, you will be free to wander through the Arboretum’s sugarbush on a self-guided tour of the tapping area.

Among other activities on the March calendar is a special ‘Mill City Farmers Market Day at the Arboretum’ which is scheduled for March 17th.

And, the Easter Bunny will make an appearance in April!
